LIT HAS BEEN CANCELED

To All Teams Registered for the 2009 LIT:

We would like to thank all of you who were so understanding about our field conditions here in Lexington and we just want you to know how much we appreciate your support.  The decision to cancel the tournament was not made lightly, as we’re sure you know.  Asking teams to drive in only to cancel at the fields is not in anyone’s best interest, and we consequently wanted to make our decision in a timely manner.

We were asked if our fields are that precious to us.  The answer is yes, they are.  Unlike many of you, we are totally responsible for the preservation of our fields and we paid a million dollars to build them from scratch.  Our community does not provide any financial help at all.  Of even more importance is the safety of the players and they were at the heart of our decision.

We will be sending checks to you early next week in the amount of 75% of your registration fee and will also provide a $50 voucher good for the 2010 LIT.  T-shirt orders will also be mailed late next week.
